| what's the new happening blog site the kids are using lately? blogspot? wordpress? livejournal?
i'm going to start one for the multimedia stuff i produce in gradschool..photoessays, audioslideshows et cetera. but i dunno what is the most commonly used, most trafficked, easiest to navigate, and ya know, what's popular.
also, i knew i'd find the urge to blog now that i'm living on my own, without a roommate to unwind my day with. i got the cat. but she tends to nap when bored/when i'm blabbing. a few years ago (gah! getting old--tangent: took a dance class recently at a studio I frequented when I was younger and i felt immensely ancient. the girls in the class looked prepubescent. should get used to this, i suppose..maybe i do need a roommate), anyway, some time ago, i might have written about this
it's such a heartwrenching story Being buried in so many alternative media outlets/publications/sites lately, I remembered this artist. searched to purchase his book, "Don't Go Where I Can't Follow." But, as he mentioned he'd considered, he pulled this book from circulation. The only copy I found was re-selling for $200+ (originally sold for $17.95). Know any good used books sites?
From the publisher's site: Don't Go Where I Can't Follow is a tender collection of letters, photographs, and drawings Anders Nilsen has compiled in memory of his fiancee, Cheryl Weaver, who died of cancer in November 2005. It is an appreciation of the time they shared together, and a heart-breaking account of the progression of her illness. From early love notes, simple and poetic postcards, and tales of their travels together in written and comics form, to Nilsen's journal entries and drawings done in the hospital during her final days, and the beautifully rendered tear-jerking account of Weaver's memorial, Don't Go Where I Can't Follow is a deeply personal romance, and a universal reminder of our mortality and the significance of the relationships we build. http://www.drawnandquarterly.com/shopCatalogLong.php?item=a45098d4b3b5bc

working for a company catering to higher end clientele, i see a lot of plastic surgery gone bad =/ or procedures that might have looked great in the beginning but have obviously not stood the test of time. but this product is pretttty tempting. go to the website to see the time lapse progression. www.latisse.com
only thing is, the longer, fuller lashes only last about 2months. i just wonder what happens after that time, if they are shorter or if they fall out or what..? i've been given an expiration date for my lashes <ma said it'll be around 24>. i know a botox rep but she's unfortunately relocated to the west coast. anyone got an allergan hookup?
anyone heard of any latisse stories? horror or success?

| apthunting has made me sad and lustful. cannot find what i want in my budget's range and while i'm taking out the max in gschool loans, still cannot afford what i really want.
the below excerpt is from one of my favorite books/authors, who travels to disaster areas of other countries and focuses her energies on something other than self-centered, consumerist needs. been listening to cat power a bit too..and she, in npr's all songs considered interview, mentioned how she's given away all the things she had, TWICE. but still, the heart wants what it wants. hahah. that's my american excuse/justification.

i am proposing that we reconceive the dream.
that we consider what would happen if security were not the point of our existence.
that we find freedom, aliveness, and power
not from what contains, locates, or protects us
but from what dissolves, reveals, and expands us.
